How to care for a resin lamp
August 28, 2026

Resin is tougher than glass and softer than stone. Treat it like a good pair of sunglasses and it will look new for years.
Do
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Microfibre is perfect. Once a week is plenty.
- Keep it out of direct midday sun. UV slowly yellows clear resin. A window ledge in the shade is fine; a south-facing sill at noon, every day, is not.
- Use the USB-C cable that came with it. Any 5V phone charger works. The LED module is rated for around 50,000 hours — roughly 17 years at 8 hours a night.
Don't
- No alcohol, acetone or glass cleaner. They dull the polish. If something sticky gets on it, a drop of dish soap on a damp cloth, then dry.
- Don't leave it in a hot car. Above about 60 °C resin can soften. Room temperature is what it wants.
If the light stops
Nine times out of ten it's the cable. Try another USB-C cable first. If it's still dark, write to us — the module is replaceable and we'll sort it out.
